Conference Services: Artifact Packaging & Evaluation

speaker: Yohan Beugin

Yohan will talk about reproducibility in computer science and the related artifact evaluation efforts that are happening at the main systems, security, and privacy conferences. Yohan have been on several sides of the process: as an author submitting his own artifacts, as a reviewer evaluating for several conferences, and currently as artifact chair organizing evaluation for PETS 2026’27.

Several people from the group have also submitted or reviewed artifacts, so come to what should be an interesting and interactive chat to:

  • learn about reproducibility in computer science,
  • discuss the general artifact evaluation process and badges criteria,
  • get tips about how you can make your research code more accessible and reusable, so that you can get the ‘Best Artifact Award’ next time,
  • understand how you can become artifact reviewer yourself, what are the expectations, and how you too can easily be recognized as ‘Distinguished Artifact Reviewer’,
  • and last but not least eat some homemade cookies!

See you next week! PS: self-nomination form for reviewing for PETS is here.
